Land’s End Wool Cotton Button Mock Sweater Contest

It recently snowed in Houston. The whole city was in a tizzy. I holed up in my house and watched everything from the comfort of my living. My wife, KayEm, and I cuddled up on the couch as we watched the news reports – she in her Snuggie and me in my brand new Land’s End Wool Cotton Button Mock Sweater. We were safe and warm while the rest of the city dealt with the “blizzard.”

I ordered my sweater from the Lands End website which was quick and easy. I selected my size and color, filled in the shipping and payment information (disclosure: Lands End covered all costs), and was done in less time than it takes to listen to “The Christmas Song.”

I usually avoid any type of type of turtleneck sweater, mock or otherwise. They make me feel as if I’m being choked by a monkey with soft hands all day long. I’m glad that this sweater allows me to relieve my neck by simply adjusting the buttons and zipper.

I also dislike wool sweaters. I find them to be too itchy. However, I experienced no itchiness from this sweater. I was surprised by how soft and comfortable it feels against my skin. To be fair, the sweater is not 100% wool but rather a blend of fabrics (50% merino wool, 24% cotton, and 25% nylon).

Aside from the freak snowstorm, Houston rarely gets cold. But when it does, the sweater provides adequate protection.

In addition to being functional, the sweater is also stylish. When I wore it with my sunglasses, I felt like I had a Shaft vibe going on. When KayEm told me how good I looked, I knew I would be wearing this sweater often.
