1-800-FLOWERS.COM Valentine’s Day “Patti Stanger Bouquet Contest

CONTEST ENDED 02/10/2010 – Winner: Tanyetta McKoy

Love is in the air. That’s because Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. To commemorate this holiday, one lucky reader will receive a $50 gift certificate from 1-800-FLOWERS.COM.

1-800-FLOWERS.COM has partnered with Patti Stranger, the Millionaire Matchmaker. The result of their collaboration is the “Patti Stanger Bouquet,” a hand-designed arrangement of Fresh roses, Gerbera daisies, lilies, lisianthus, daisy poms, waxflower and sala.

A loved one and I received a couple of these bouquets from 1-800-FLOWERS.COM to review.

I was impressed by the speed of delivery and the quality of the flowers. I’ve often been disappointed when I’ve ordered flowers online because they always arrived looking wilted and withered. I must admit that I was a bit surprised when I received this bouquet and the flowers were fresh and beautifully arranged in a glass vase.

The “Patti Stanger Bouquet” would make a great Valentine’s Day gift for that special someone in your life (btw: dads like flowers too). Bouquet pricing starts at $49.99, but you can win one here on Mocha Dad.

I’m giving away a $50 gift certificate redeemable at 1-800-FLOWERS.COM. To enter the contest, leave a comment describing what you find romantic.

In addition to the contest, you can receive 15% off full priced items until February 14th by using the promotion code: Patti15.

1-800-FLOWERS.COM is also offering free shipping or no service charge for a limited time when you send your loved one fresh beautiful roses starting at $29.99. Visit 1-800-FLOWERS.COM/RADIO for more details.

Contest ends Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. (CST), and is open to all Mocha Dad readers, subscribers, and/or fans in the continental U.S. No purchase required. The winner will be chosen via Random.org and announced on Thursday, February 11, 2010. You must leave your contact information to collect your prize. A 1-800-FLOWERS.COM representative will conduct prize fulfillment.

A card with wording that proves he actually took the time to pick out the perfect one. Holding hands. A spontaneous picnic…even if it’s on the living room floor. Strip UNO. Dinner at a Moroccan restaurant where you sit on gigantic pillows and eat with your fingers…feeding each other. A night where the kids are with relatives.

Long drives together. The conversations remind me of why I love him so much! When we’re at home it’s much different. Daily life keeps conversations to the general stuff, like family, work, boring stuff. However, on those long drives we just talk about…well whatever.

I love to stand out on our dock and look at the water at dusk with my sweetie. I also love waking up at the lake and having a hot cup of coffee while peering out at the water.

I find it romantic that my hubby cleans up after me when I cook. That he gets up with the boys early in the morning, so I can sleep a few more minutes. Flowers and jewelry are nice, but the little things make romance to me.

There is nothing more romantic to me, then a small gesture. Offer to help me cook dinner. Leave me a love note on the bathroom mirror. Walk over and kiss me, just because. Romance doesn’t have to cost a cent.
