I’d like to thank everyone who participated in my Comments for a Cause promotion to help domestic violence victims.
Unfortunately, I was unable to reach my goal of $250.00 but I appreciate your comments and tweets nonetheless. They helped me to raise $145.20 to donate to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV).
During the month of October, I received 258 comments on Mocha Dad and The Mocha Dad Daily, 132 tweets, and 3 commitments from people to make donations to NCADV.
Although Domestic Violence Awareness Month is over, let’s continue to do our part to stop domestic violence throughout the year. Domestic Violence affects millions of Americans each day (23.6% of women and 11.5% of men reported at least one lifetime episode of intimate-partner violence). We must end the silence and make everyone aware of this dangerous problem.

24/7/365. Thank you for the awareness. I’m going to post soon a call-to-action because of the horrid Richard gang rape from last week. Dear God we need education and intervention more than ever. Parents must elevate from the norm at home.
MochaDad–God bless you, brother. Excellent way to use your voice. Like you, I love being a dad. Like you, I hate domestic violence. It will take millions of excellent dads (and moms) to raise awareness if we ever hope to eradicate domestic violence. Keep up the good work!
You are welcome. I am one of the abused. A survivor. I get it.
Congrats! I am having a school assembly over at my blog and you are receiving an award at the end. Please attend!
Great job raising awareness as well as money for this valuable cause.
