As I’ve mentioned before, my seven year old daughter, Nee, loves Barack Obama and his family. She jumped at the opportunity when her teacher asked her class to write letters to the new president. Here is what she wrote:
Dear President Obama,
My whole family has been squealing since the election on Tuesday. I’m really glad you’re president. Congratulations! I hope you can stop the war. My mom said you talked to my grandmother on the phone. My mom really wanted me to talk to you. I hope you’re safe. Oh, and you’re awesome!

But she didn’t stop there. She also had to write a note to her buddy, Sasha also.
Dear Sasha,
Guess what? I’m the same age as you. You’re just two months younger than me. I can’t believe you were willing to go on TV. I would have been scared to death. I’m like one of your biggest fans. I hope you have a good time at the White House!
